Veterans’ Stress Awareness Course

• Having trouble adjusting to civilian life?

• Need some support with stress, anxiety or low mood?

• Want to meet other veterans with similar issues?

If so then our free course could help you:

Veteran’s Stress Awareness Course is a 6-week activity-based course which teaches participants skills for coping with issues such as Low mood, Anxiety, Anger and PTSD. The course is delivered jointly by a Veteran and a Wellbeing Practitioner.

Women Supporting Women are moving premises on MONDAY AUGUST 22nd. We are leaving the Parish Church Hall and returning to the place WSW began - Peter Street Community Centre. The new address will be:

Our last drop-in will be MONDAY AUGUST 15th and our first drop-in at Peter Street will be THURSDAY AUGUST 25th.

An event to listen to the views of carers and people with dementia is being held to make sure that services will meet the needs of people in St Helens.

New Bereavement Group

A new group has started at Women Supporting Women called “Moving Forward”. This group provides a safe place to share feelings and personal experiences and will also be active in looking at ways to move forward.

The group will be about meeting people, organising social activities, discovering new interests and about looking to the future with a more confident and positive attitude.

If you feel this group will be of benefit to you then we invite you to join us every Tuesday between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. No appointment necessary.
