WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY CELEBRATIONS
This year NHS Halton and St Helens are leading on two celebratory events. The events will be on the 14th October, all day at Halton Lea Shopping Centre, Runcorn and on the 12th October, 10am-4:30pm at St Helens Parish Church Hall on Church Square.
In Halton on the 14th of October there will be information and advice from:
The Women’s Centre, Information for diverse groups, Halton Borough Councils Adult Social Care Information Service, The Bridge Building service, Psychological Therapies, Carers Centre, Citizens Advice, MIND, CALM Age Concern. HITS and the Kings cross project, The Health Improvement team will also be hosting their Alcohol free bar, along with the community food workers offering advice around mood and food and making fruit kebabs and offering soup in a bag. Free health checks are also available on the day
Halton Borough Council’s advice bus will also be available, to offer benefit, debt and council tax advice and will be outside Cineworld on Trident Retail Park.
There will be activities on all day in the shopping centre:

12.00-12:30pm Belly Dancing
1.00pm -1:30pm Belly Dancing
1:30pm – 2pm Halton Tea Dance demonstration

In St Helens on the 12th October there will be The Carers Centre, The Lifestyles Team, Mental Health Information for Black, Minority and Ethnic Groups Women Supporting Women, St Helens LINKS, St Helens MIND, St Helens Coalition of Disabled People, The Health Improvement team will also be hosting their Alcohol free bar, an opportunity to experience the Wii Fit, along with the community food workers offering advice around mood and food and offering healthy breakfast in a bag. Free health checks are also available throughout the day
An advice bus will also be located on Church Square, with Jobcentre Plus available in the morning advising on what practical and financial support is available for those considering a return to work, and the Citizens Advice Bureau will be present in the afternoon.

Take part in the Saints Challenge on Church Square 10.30am - 12 midday for entry into a free raffle for a FREE season ticket for Saints last season at Knowsley Rd. and other Saints prizes. Go on have a TRY!!!

future workshops
12:30-3pm Music-net are offering you to come down and join in
3:30-4pm UC Crew Break Dancing performance
